History
Russian electronic engineer Andrey Goriachev founded Naval Radio in Valparaiso in late 1997, based on Goriachev's desire to offer superb electronic marine service to foreign ships moored at Chilean ports. He led the company to instant success, with both the overseas and local customer base expanding at an impressive rate.
In 2000, after three years of continuous growth, Goriachev employed additional managerial and engineering personnel, especially from the electrical and computing fields. These appointments diversified Naval Radio's operations and boosted the effectiveness of the company's core functionality.
Between the last quarter of 2004 and mid-2005, the company addressed the constantly increasing market demand for marine goods and services by relocating to larger facilities. Operations, Service and Sales departments were formed, the workforce doubled, and the management structure was reorganised, creating a Board of Directors with Andrey Goriachev as Managing Director.
By the end of 2005, as part of Naval Radio's expansion strategy, a branch office was opened in Talcahuano to improve the average response time in the region and further extend the company's already excellent service and logistics coverage.
In July 2007, as part of Naval Radio's ongoing commitment to quality in all areas of its business, the company's Quality Management System was independently audited and Naval Radio was declared an ISO 9001-certified company by Germanischer Lloyd.
